Stadium News

And finally, The Pingles Stadium is set to become one of the UKā€™s greenest athletics and multi sports venues as work begins next week on the installation of solar membrane panels on the grandstand roof.

The investment will also see new commercial heat pumps installed to replace existing gas boilers as part of the project, which is set to be delivered over the next 18 months.

Funding was obtained via the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme grant, alongside funding from Sport England and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.

The project is part of a range of measures to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions at the stadium, including:

ā˜€ļø Roof solar membranes

šŸ’” LED lighting & motion sensors

ā„ļø Chiller and air handling improvements

šŸ”‹ Energy-saving devices

šŸ¤ Staff initiatives to reduce energy consumption
