Are training sessions run on the track or road ?


We run all the tuesday and thursday sessions on the Track.

This gives you a safe enclosed enviroment, where you can run at your pace and not worry about being left behind.
There will also be an optional training hill session near the end of the course




How long are the sessions


The length of the sessions do vary, but typically around 30 mins




What s a typical session


The session is broke up into three sections 1. Warm up - 5 minute walk, with some dynamic stretches 2. the main run/walk session. this is based on the NHS couch to 5k plan 3. Cool Down - 5 Minute walk, follwed by static stretches we will also gradually introduce you to running terms and the important lessons like why you should warm up and cool down.




What Is Couch to 5k


Couch to 5K is a running plan for absolute beginners, the plan involves 3 runs a week, with a day of rest in between, and a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks. This plan has been used by thousands of people.




How do i register for the course


to register for the course is easy, just email your interest to nuneaton.harriers@gmail.com and we will send you the full plan and registration form to you by email. On the first night of the course, it is best to arrive between 8:00pm and 8:20pm. Where the run leaders will give a brief inroduction to themselves.




Do I need to attend every session


No you do not need to attend every session, we understand that you may not be able to make every session. we supply you with the plan and a weekly email.




How often do i train


The couch to 5k course is based on three training sessions a week. we run two of these sessions for you. you will need to run one session in your own time
