About Our Club
Club Statement - updated
Further to the club's announcement yesterday, the governing body of athletics in England has now advised all clubs to suspend training sessions, events, competitions, running groups and social events until at least the end of April.
Nuneaton Harriers Athletic Club is mindful of the current and rapidly-changing situation regarding the Covid-19 outbreak. Currently additional hygiene precautions are being undertaken by The Pingles Stadium staff. As the track surface is closed for resurfacing we have already made some changes to the normal Tuesday and Thursday club sessions. Until the advice from the governing body changes we plan to continue with outdoor training sessions - with the following important changes;
Training groups will not meet inside the clubhouse before training commences and the café will not open - this will mean that if the weather is poor then members may decide to stay away.
There will be no indoor training sessions - if the weather is poor then we will not be able to move the young-athletes' sessions inside. Parents are asked to carefully consider this restriction.
We would advise all our members, parents, officials and volunteers to be vigilant and follow Government and NHS advice. Please do not come to the club if you have any of the signs of the virus or feel unwell.
The following only applies to club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Should the situation or government advice change then updates will be put on the Harriers website and social media feeds.
