Welcome to Nuneaton Harriers online

Come and join a local and welcoming athletics club

Nuneaton Harriers Athletic Club is based at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton where we have an 8-lane 400m floodlit all-weather running track and clubhouse.

We welcome athletes of all standards, from fun runners through to international level competitors and have active athletes from age 7 to over 70. There is a large and vibrant young athletes section.

We provide training and qualified coaching with opportunities to compete in local, regional and national level competitions. We compete in track and field athletics, road running, race walking and cross country races. There are teams dedicated to young athletes, junior, senior and masters (age over 35 years) athletes.

New members are always welcome. Contact us or simply turn up at The Pingles clubhouse (Pingles Stadium, Avenue Road, Nuneaton. CV11 4LX) on one of the club training nights. The young athletes (under 13 years old) train on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm whilst older members meet at 7:30pm.

If you are over 16, new to running and would like to join the beginners group please try the Saturday morning session at 10am.

Coaching methods

Generally under 13s are coached in several groups and they experience a wide variety of athletic events over the year. After 7.30pm the coaching for over 13s is more specialised but all athletes can try out different events. All the coaches are qualified though UKA.

Race walking covers all age groups and in, addition, the under 13 groups are given a chance to try out walking on a regular basis. For the over 13s generally the walking sessions begin at 6.30pm.
